Assistant Dean, Office of Executive Programs
Greg joined the Smith School in July 2009 to lead efforts in expanding the
Executive Programs delivered by our world-class faculty and network of adjunct
lecturers, and was appointed Assistant Dean of Executive Programs in February
2011. In this capacity, Greg leads the growth and delivery of Executive Degree
programs, such as the College Park EMBA, the re-launch of the Smith-UIBE Sino-US
EMBA program in China, custom degree, and the design and development of
customized and open enrollment non-degree programs.
Greg spent just over 20 years in the telecom industry with Verizon, with the
last 7+ years prior to joining Smith in international assignments in Eastern
Europe and Asia. Greg’s professional experience included roles in corporate
strategy, marketing, and sales strategy and leadership, culminating with a
Managing Director-Asia role in Shanghai from 2003-2007. He has extensive
experience in marketing and selling services to the c-suite and combined with
his experience as a leader of international subsidiary, he understands the
cross-functional and human capital issues many leaders are challenged with
today. Greg is also a successful entrepreneur, having partnered to launch a
joint German-US media design agency in Shanghai in 2007,

received a BS in Chemistry from the University of Delaware, and is also a 1986
MBA alum of the Maryland Business School (now the Robert H. Smith School of
Business).
