Michael Marcellino
Assistant Dean of MBA & MS Programs
Michael Marcellino has been working with MBA students at the Robert H. Smith
School of Business since 1994. In his current role as Assistant Dean of
Masters Programs, he influences the overall direction of the full- and
part-time MBA programs at College Park, Shady Grove, Washington, D.C., and
Baltimore. Specifically, Marcellino handles curricular implementation and
design, program development, management of the off-site campuses, and all
operational aspects of the MBA programs. Some of his Smith accomplishments
to-date include the creation of student-centered Web-based informational
tools, a revamp of registration and scheduling processes, improved and
standardized billing, and the establishment of processes and overall
improvement of Smith’s presence at the external campuses. Since 1994,
Marcellino has held an impressive array of Smith School positions including:
Director of Academic Programming; Director of Student Affairs; Director of
Student and Academic Affairs; Senior Director of MBA Program Operations; and
Senior Director of Professional Programs and Services.
Marcellino earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the
University of Delaware. He holds a Master of Science degree from the
University of Maryland, University of College, and received his MBA from the
Robert H. Smith School of Business.
