Maryland students and healthcare and information technology professionals have a new opportunity to help their state succeed in the health technology sector. The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business Center for Health Information and Decision Systems (CHIDS) is partnering with Howard Community College (HCC) to engage Marylanders in the Baltimore-Washington corridor to develop and sharpen their mobile health (mHealth) technology skills and strategies.

The Center for Social Value Creation at the Robert H. Smith School of Business has launched the Living Lab Portal. This online platform is designed to connect UMD students with experiential learning projects focused on improving the UMD campus and local community.
This semester, undergraduate students at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business launched the Diversity Empowerment Council (DEC). With a vision to help represent and expand diversity within Smith, the DEC will focus on strengthening unity, student integration and academic excellence.
Ten ChangeTheWorld.org student teams showcased their work this semester at the ChangeTheWorld.org Fall 2014 Symposium. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about each project and gave feedback to the presenters. Attendees included fellow and prospective student consultants, ChangeTheWorld mentors and clients and Smith School staff.
