This summer, Smith joined the ranks of other LEADing university, hosting its first Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) program at the school from July 14 through Aug. 1. According to the study, people flaunting the brands they use in a conspicuous manner – such as obnoxiously displaying a designer handbag label or wearing Gucci sunglass indoors – is a big turn-off for many consumers.
