7 Ways to Prep for Spring Semester

Undergraduates at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business: Here are seven ways to get ready for the spring semester!

  1. Update your resume.
This will come in handy when you are applying for Fellows programs and Smith School Scholarships, not to mention job opportunities! What did you accomplish last semester? What skills do you still need to build to get you to your dream position?
  2. Apply for Smith Fellows programs.
We have 15 Fellows programs that each focus on a specific area of business. Take our Fellows Quiz to see which one might be a good fit for you! Applications are due February 8 at midnight.
  3. Follow @SmithUndergrad on Twitter.
We share great opportunities from the Undergraduate Program Office, as well as news from other departments at Smith and around campus.
  4. Follow Dean Mullins on Facebook (and read his weekly emails!).
Be in the know. Dean Mullins features only the most important events and exciting opportunities.
  5. Dry clean your suit.
Be prepared for interviews and special events.
  6. Add Academic Deadlines to your calendar.
Don’t miss deadlines for drop/add, applying for graduation, or fall registration.
  7. Submit your FAFSA.
Get a jump start on tax season and scholarship applications by getting your FAFSA form started. The State of Maryland’s deadline to submit is March 1, 2016.
