Smith MS Students Volunteer at Special Olympics

On Friday, May 2, 2014, masters students from the University of Maryland's Roberrt H. Smith School of Business volunteered at the Special Olympics 2014 Unified Outdoor Bocce State High School Invitational at Washington College in Chestertown, Md.

Kim Jones, a program coordinator in the Masters Programs Office, along with colleagues Gabrielle Gibson and Tiffany Zook, organized the trip.

Staff and students spent the day on the bocce ball court serving as line judges and/or officiating the games. It was a great experience to have the chance to assist such an enthusiastic and determined group of young people who are working hard to overcome significant challenges.
