Avid sports fans Derek Shewmon, MBA ’09, and Federico Campbell, MBA ’09, had often found themselves watching games from the “nosebleed section,” and wondering why so many great seats remained empty throughout the game. They were classmates in Smith’s part-time MBA program in Washington in 2009 when that simple observation turned into a business idea.

A group of MBA students from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business traveled to New York City to attend the 5th Annual Asian MBA Leadership Conference and Career Exposition Forum, September 19 – 21, 2013, at the Hilton NYC.

The Asian MBA Conference attracted over 2,500 top Asian students (both undergrad and graduate level), professionals, and Fortune 500 employers such as IBM, GE, P&G, Facebook, Wells Fargo, and Kimberley-Clark.
