“Decentralized finance(DeFi) is doing for value exchange in the 2020’s what the internet did for information exchange in the 1990’s.” That from Alexander Szul, co-founder of Rome Blockchain Labs. He was hosted by the Smith School on the evening of November 14th for a tour of DeFi fundamentals. He discussed the formation of crypto, the underlying concepts of decentralized finance and the ideas that brought about decentralized exchanges. Szul says, “learning about DeFi will give students, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in blockchain a head start on the next wave of business.”
Part of Smith’s Fall 2022 Speaker Series, the event was held at Van Munching Hall in Frank Auditorium.
