Robert H. Smith to Speak at Namesake Business School Commencement

College Park, Md. - May 6, 2008 - The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business today announced that alumnus Robert H. Smith, former chairman of Charles E. Smith Cos. and naming donor to the school, will deliver the keynote speech at the May 23 graduation ceremony. The event will be held at 4 p.m. at the Comcast Center on the university's College Park campus.

April 2008: Sustainability Month at Smith

April was recognized as Sustainability Month this year at campuses around the country. University of Maryland Business School Appoints New Senior Associate Dean

College Park, MD July 18, 2007 The University of Marylands Robert H. Smith School of Business today announced that Anand Anandalingam, Ralph J. Tyser Professor of Management Sciences, has been appointed as the schools senior associate dean. In this role, he will be responsible for working closely with faculty and staff to support Smiths overall program, research and curriculum development. The three-year appointment is effective July 1, 2007. Arjang Assad, outgoing senior associate dean, has been named the Deans Professor for Extraordinary Service.
