Corinne Dougherty, ’03, is the sustainability audit leader for KPMG in the U.S. Based in Washington, D.C., she has significant experience providing sustainability reporting and assurance services, along with more than 20 years of experience in audit and advisory services. This extensive background positions her at the intersection of sustainability strategy and reporting, where she frequently engages with the media and clients to provide education and practical guidance.
In her role, Dougherty spearheads initiatives to upskill KPMG professionals in sustainability, driving the integration of sustainable practices across all of KPMG’s services. Her commitment to education extends beyond KPMG; she served as an adjunct professor for four years, teaching graduate courses in the Master of Accountancy program at George Washington University.
Dougherty holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and is a certified public accountant. She also earned an executive certificate in advancing sustainability from NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business, underscoring her dedication to advancing sustainability in the business world.
