Elizabeth (Liz) Folsom is an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business, where she teaches graduate-level classes in Internal Auditing, Fraud Investigations, and Enterprise Risk Management.
She serves as the Chief Audit Executive and Vice President of Global Internal Audit and Investigations for PSI. With over 25 years of experience, Folsom oversees a team of 30 auditors and investigators managing audits and investigations across more than 40 countries. Her expertise lies in managing risk, assessing control, investigating fraud, evaluating compliance, driving efficiencies, and designing and delivering educational content to support all of these activities. Folsom has a distinguished history of enhancing organizational performance through strategic leadership, having previously served in senior audit roles at organizations like the Inter-American Development Bank and CARE International. Folsom holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management from Lehigh University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds numerous certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).
