Jewelyn has an extensive process improvement background. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina A&T and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan.

Jewelyn is Lean Six Sigma certified Black Belt from the American Society of Quality and a certified Master Black Belt from Ohio State University. She currently teaches a course series in Lean Six Sigma in supply chain management at Smith. The series focuses on developing lean methodology change agents who leverage Lean Six Sigma to solve complex problems using a systematic approach.

Jewelyn has led process improvement initiatives and teams in the private industry for over 24 years as an industrial engineer and LSS professional. She has led the creation of many LSS initiatives that have developed a culture of problem solvers.

Jewelyn is also a speaker at conferences and webinars and continues to create strategies for lean management systems.
