Jon Crocker
Clinical Professor
JD, University of Miami
Clinical professor at the University of Maryland at the Robert H. Smith School of Business in the department of Logistics, Business and Public Policy. My academic and research interests include the use of international trade to foster sustainable development. I teach primarily graduate level courses in managerial economics, sustainability, negotiations, and business law to management executives.
My early career in the military allowed me to live in Europe for four years and participate in three overseas campaigns. In addition to criminal and civil trial work, I also had the opportunity to develop a specialization in defense procurement, government contracting and transportation logistics. As part of the Army component to USTRANSCOM, we delivered from “factory to foxhole” worldwide. I retired after 20 years of service in 2007.
Previously, a partner in a large law firm in Washington DC, as lead trial attorney for a global business conglomerate and international research lab. Our client base included LG Group of Seoul, South Korea; the research lab for Xerox-PARC in Palo Alto, California; and international celebrities JYP and Rain 정지훈 (Bi); and focused primarily upon the recovery of intangible assets (trademark or patent infringement) and contract disputes. My practice was exclusively federal, spanning the nation from Delaware to Texas, California, and Hawai'i.
