Emerging technological developments are having a profound impact on several industries and businesses, rendering existing business models obsolete, and creating new ones. Some of these changes are not only fundamental, but also sufficiently unique to necessitate new theories of their economic and strategic impacts. My research program has been guided by the recognition of the transformative power of these technological developments, and motivated by the need to gain a better understanding of the impacts of these technological changes.
