Discover and uncover the hidden emotional and actual labor that Black women are expected to perform in the workplace. Discussion topics will focus on intersectional oppression associated with being a woman and being a black person, including code switching, assumptions about work roles, hairstyle policing, facing the glass ceiling, expectations about leadership capability, and more. Participants will hear personal and professional experiences from a panel of black woman leaders. Hosted by the University of Baltimore's JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) group.
