In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the public is invited to join the M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation’s College Park Aviation Museum and Airport in presenting the very first Latinas in Aviation Global Festival.
At the family-friendly event, guests will meet pilots who are featured in Fig Factor Media’s “Latina in Aviation” book as they fly into College Park Airport also known as the Field of Firsts because it has held many “first” events. The pilots will personally share their unique experiences and passion for aviation. Other exciting activities include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, contributor author panels and presentations, “Latinas in Aviation” book signing, mentorship circles, scholarship opportunities, and more.
