The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business presents the 10th Annual Social Enterprise Symposium (SES) on Friday, March 9, 2018. SES is a signature event of the Center for Social Value Creation and brings together hundreds of students, alumni, staff, and faculty to explore the role of business in creating economic, social and environmental prosperity.
SES is the University of Maryland's premier event on social enterprise, socially responsible business and corporate sustainability. This year’s special 10th anniversary event features a stellar lineup of alumni speakers and an impressive roster of industry leaders including: Tata, Kate Spade, Fidelity Investments, EAB, and local favorites Hungry Harvest and Busboys & Poets.
The opening keynote speaker is Jigar Shah, president and co-founder of Generate Capital and a Smith MBA alumnus. Seeta Hariharan, general manager and group head of Tata Consultancy Services’ Digital Software & Solutions Group, will deliver the innovation keynote address. Check out the full agenda.
Unlike any other event on campus, SES is packed full of engaging speakers and offers networking with social impact executives, thought leaders and peers interested creating a better world through business. Over the years, the SES has hosted more than 230 thought leaders in corporate responsibility, social innovation and sustainability from a vast array of companies ranging from regional social enterprises to multinational corporations. Special thanks to this year’s SES supporting partners: PwC, Tata and Unilever.
