Smith School Dean Prabhudev Konana is reimagining learning spaces for world-class business teaching and learning. Technological updates are being made throughout Van Munching Hall. New construction is underway that includes active-learning classrooms with digital whiteboards, screen sharing and online platforms. A virtual teaching and media studio—the first of its kind at the University of Maryland—has advanced technologies for video production; a floor-to-ceiling video wall; and screen sharing, chat and interactive tools to enable communication and collaboration between instructors and Smith’s remote learners around the globe. The school continues to innovate and anticipate the future needs of business professionals.
