The Center for Global Business is announcing new opportunities and a robust calendar of global mindset programming for the fall.
Undergraduate and Graduate Programming
CGB’s new and enhanced programs will enable undergraduate and graduate students to engage with and develop their global mindset. Learn more about some of these opportunities below:
Positive Impact Internship 2021: Brazil: CGB presents “Positive Impact Internship: Brazil,” a way to learn from companies in Brazil that strive to make a positive impact on the world. Students are placed on multicultural teams to work on a real business problem focused on social impact. The center is also providing a full scholarship to UMD students who identify as underrepresented individuals. Apply by Sept. 9.
International Business (IB) Agility Labs Series: These short-term virtual case challenges allow undergraduate students to learn from global business leaders and collaborate with international peers. Students benefit from exposure to an international company, work on teams with business students around the world, and gain hands-on case experience to build their resumes. The IB Agility Labs this fall will be focused on sustainability and fintech, two new areas of content from last year’s series. Apply by Sept. 16.
CGB Presents the GBSN Beyond Conference: CGB invites Maryland Smith undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the annual conference of the Global Business School Network. This year’s conference is entirely virtual and free to UMD students. Participants have the opportunity to connect with peers, employers, and business professionals from around the globe. Additionally, the conference includes the opportunity for students to compete in a team case competition focused on humanitarian logistics challenges with a $5,000 first-place prize.
