Universities at Shady Grove
The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland will host the third annual community-wide entrepreneurship event, Small Business, BIG IDEAS: Innovation in a New Direction.
The Conference will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2009, at The Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville, Maryland. This event will be a series of workshops that include interactive presentations, exercises, and consulting to allow attendees direct contact with an array of experienced entrepreneurs. This year's program will provide attendees an in-depth look at developing a small business, with a special session on family-owned businesses. Topics include: essential aspects of starting, running, and expanding your own business and the role of entrepreneurship in our current economy. Attendees will receive real-world feedback as speakers describe the trend of small and family-owned businesses.
This conference expands on last year’s event, which attracted more than 250 attendees who benefited from the expertise of more than 20 entrepreneur speakers from various backgrounds.
