CSVC’s Tata Innovation Dialogue Delivers Career-Building Insights

Students gained insights into career-building in the areas of consulting and social innovation from leaders representing India's largest business conglomerate, in a Tata Innovation Dialogue and Global Internship Program hosted Nov. 20, 2024, by the Center for Social Value Creation (CSVC) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Keynote speaker Anupam Singhal, president of manufacturing for Tata Consultancy Services, described AI, GenAI and quantum computing in terms of intersecting with and reshaping manufacturing to transform consumer experiences and drive purpose-driven solutions that impact everyday life through safer, more reliable products. “The opportunity that AI/GenAI creates for all of us to transform the experience of the consumer is unbelievable, and we need to go all out to capture it,” he said.

Following Singhai, Tata Sons’ Resident Director for North America Michael McCabe introduced the Tata Global Internships Program, as a unique opportunity for students’ immersive experiences in consulting and innovation with the Tata Group in India.
