Elana Fine, managing director of the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, is recognized as a “Tech Titan” in the May 2013 issue of Washingtonian magazine. Fine is named for “encouraging more education aimed at start-ups and commercializing students’ ideas,” and she’s in great company among the top players in the tech scene in the Washington region. Also on the list is Dingman Center board chair Mark Walsh, a veteran tech entrepreneur now president of FedBid, a startup with an online marketplace for federal agencies and other top purchasers.
