June 18: Bridging Science and Practice – Executive Coaching Workshop

This preconference workshop is designed for new or aspiring coaches, or coaches who want to increase their coaching success. Participants will work with experienced coaches to learn what it means to be a coach, including how to leverage a variety of assessment data with clients, and using such data to facilitate individual development planning and talent transformation. Through the use of simulation, participants will get practice coaching an executive. Because of the experiential nature of these sessions, this workshop is LIMITED TO FIRST 60 WHO REGISTER. Includes evening reception and networking event.

Coaches in Smith's EMBA Leadership Development Program and Executive Custom Programs have extensive industry experience and will facilitate sessions that integrate science with practice to excel and unleash executive coaching success. This is a unique opportunity to learn new skills, share your experiences, and network with colleagues from around the region and nation.

June 19: Bridging Science and Practice – Executive Coaching Conference

This one-day conference is designed for coaches of all levels, practitioners, HRM professionals, researchers and academics who are interested in emerging concepts in executive coaching. The day will include sessions on best practices used by employers, strategies for using assessments in coaching, research directions and progress, as well as roundtables where participants can discuss coaching issues facing unique populations (e.g., generations, minorities, women) as well as alternative styles of coaching (e.g., peer coaching, e-coaching, blended coaching, onboarding). Includes Plenary Session “Coaching for Success” with Gary Williams, NCAA 2002 Men’s Basketball Championship Head Coach, University of Maryland.
