Dingman Center Angels Year in Review This past year was a record setting campaign for the Dingman Center Angels! With more than $3M invested in 19 deals, this year represented the highest level of activity since the founding of the angel group. As we continue to grow our membership base and as our portfolio matures, we are anticipating continued success in the years to come. Take a look at our metrics from September 2012 to August 2013.
University of Maryland’s Cupid’s Cup Business & Innovation Showcase Leads to $1.5M Investment for Local Startup College Park, Md. – July 1, 2013 – Astrapi Corporation, whose patented signal modulation technology will revolutionize the mobile communications industry, has closed a seed round totaling $1.5 million led by Dingman Center Angel investor, Bill Boyle.

Earth Starter Wins National Cupid’s Cup Business Competition College Park, Md. – April 8, 2013 – The University of Maryland’s Earth Starter, maker of the Nourishmat modular garden kit, took home $52,500 as the top winner of the eighth annual Cupid’s Cup.
UMD's Mtech, Dingman Center Launch Innovation Fridays The Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech) and the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship are launching Innovation Fridays, a collection of signature resources now available across the entire campus for entrepreneurs and innovators.
