The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business Executive MBA Cohort 23 business leaders convened to kick off the academic journey that will see them transform as leaders and level up their careers.
On Tuesday, Jan. 17, the 25 cohort members met at Van Munching Hall to participate in the five-day opening residency event where they engaged in a variety of mastery sessions, professional workshops and networking opportunities.
The cohort features a demographic breakdown of 52% women to 48% men, with roughly 20% of the group arriving as U.S. military veterans. They also bring experience from a variety of companies including Booz Allen Hamilton, Microsoft, AstraZeneca and Meta, among others.
Over the next 17 months, these executives will work closely with Maryland Smith’s world-class faculty, as well as their carefully picked individual career and executive coaches, to unlock their leadership potential and enhance their operational expertise.
Upon graduation, they’ll join an alumni population that spans more than 37,000 people across the DMV.
