Shanghai, China and College Park, Md. November 16, 2006 The University of Marylands Robert H. Smith School of Business today announced the launch of Smith Business Intelligence in China a free, online source of research articles, and videos and audio downloads that deliver business management knowledge and best practices in English, Mandarin and simplified Chinese.
By offering Smith Business Intelligence on a multimedia platform we make keeping current on the trends and issues shaping global business more convenient for Chinese-speaking business professionals, said Steve Feld, executive director of professional programs and services at the University of Marylands Robert H. Smith School of Business.
Smith Business Intelligence video and audio downloads focus on the schools leading-edge business research and other management topics. Users can download five-minute video and audio clips to digital devices, such as iPods and MP3 players, or can view and listen to the segments online. More than a dozen video and audio downloads can also be accessed from Smith partner sites including Yahoo! China, CYE.com.cn, and Chinalecture.com. Popular downloads include a segment on a study that warns firms about the dangers of putting too many features on their products; an interview that offers advice to entrepreneurs and firms trying to bring innovations to market; and a segment on the emerging marketing trend that has firms bashing the competition.
The management knowledge developed by the Smith Schools centers of excellence and created by our faculty drives business change and empowers business leaders, said Howard Frank, dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Smith Business Intelligence illustrates our commitment to sharing our knowledge in China and with Chinese-speaking audiences all over the world.
