Smith School Holiday Video Shoot
Monday, December 8, 2014
10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Group/Individual Shots, Executive Dining  (2517 VMH)
12 p.m. - Group Cheer, VMH Front Steps (Grand Atrium/Rain)
12 - 1 p.m. - Get your picture with Testudo, Executive Dining  (2517 VMH)

Details:

Please join us on Monday, Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. outside of Van Munching Hall on the front steps for a "Season's Greetings" cheer that will be featured in our annual holiday video. In the event of rain, come to VMH's Pownall Grand Atrium. Stick around after the cheer and get your picture taken with Testudo until 1 p.m. in the executive dining room (2517 VMH). Note that due to unforeseen circumstances, the large inflatable snow globe will not be part of the video. Instead, a snow globe will be digitally added during editing.

• Wear festive attire, Maryland red, or just come as you are.
• Feel free to bring props with you. We have a limited supply of holiday props, including: elf hats, headbands (reindeer, snowman), huge candy canes and snowflakes, Happy Holidays sign, etc.
• Large groups can schedule photos and video scenes between 10-11:15 a.m. and 1:30-2 p.m. by using Sly Reply.
• Prepared video scenes should be 10 seconds and be able to fit in front of a white back drop. Ideas and available props:
• Have your group pose, holiday card style.
• Throw snowflakes. 
• Conga line.
• Jump and get your picture taken mid-air.
• Form human letters for SMITH.
• Make a pyramid.
• Act as elves wrapping presents. (Large wrapped presents, 2 elf hats)
• Dance a candy cane chorus line. (4 large candy canes)
• Duel with candy canes, Jedi style. (4 large candy canes)
• Recreate Charlie Brown Christmas final scene. Open mouths, heads back.
• Prance in a reindeer line up. (1 blinking red nose and 4 reindeer headbands)
• Wear so many clothes that you can't move, A Christmas Story.
• Pose like a holiday window display.
• Note that the video and all photos will be posted online.
