This spring, 19 exchange students from seven of Maryland Smith’s partner universities are in College Park for their semester-long study abroad experience.
"Through Maryland Smith's business exchange programs, visiting students from around the world have the opportunity to study here in Van Munching Hall,'' says Greg Rafal, assistant director of the Center for Global Business. “These students not only learn from our esteemed faculty, but they enrich our classrooms with diverse perspectives on business and culture.”
Maryland Smith partners with 23 universities worldwide to offer exchange programs that provide undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to enroll in semester-long programs abroad, take a full business course-load in English alongside their host-country counterparts, and earn transfer credit toward their degrees.
This year’s exchange students come from Bocconi University in Italy, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, IE Business School in Spain, Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom, Singapore Management University, University of Hong Kong Business School, and Vienna University of Economics and Business.
And while these 19 exchange students settle into College Park for their semester study abroad, Maryland students are studying abroad at these partner institutions in mutual exchange, gaining immersive experiences academically and culturally.
