On February 26, 2016, sponsored by Smith’s Undergrad Program Office and the Center for Social Value Creation, the team participated in the Milgard Invitational Case Competition on Social Responsibility at the University of Washington, Tacoma. The Smith students joined 16 teams from selected business schools across the country to pitch corporate social responsibility plans to the leadership at PEMCO Insurance, a Pacific Northwest regional property and casualty insurance provider.

The team claimed third place in the Direct Marketing Association of Washington’s Spring 2016 Collegiate MAXI Case Competition on April 22, 2016. They focused on the marketing needs of the AARP Foundation and proposed a communications campaign to enable the organization reach their diverse membership population and provide clarity between the Foundation and AARP’s other services.
