Smith Strengths Highlighted in Financial Times’ Rankings

The MBA program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business maintains its ground in the Financial Times’ 2014 Global MBA rankings.

The Smith School is ranked #50 in the world and #26 in the U.S.. The school is ranked #5 worldwide in e-business and #9 worldwide in economics, as rated by MBA 2010 graduates.

The ranking is based on two surveys of business schools and alumni who graduated in 2010; rankings are based on “the career progression of alumni, the school’s idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty.”

The Financial Times’ 2014 report extends to doctoral rankings, which place Smith 11th, up six spots from 2013. This category factors in the total of PhDs awarded during the past three years, along with the total of doctoral graduates who were awarded faculty positions in FT’s Top 50 schools in 2013.
