Radian Group Inc., has appointed Smith finance professor Cliff Rossi as senior vice president and chief economist. In this position, Rossi will be responsible for research, forecasts, quantitative analysis and financial modeling of mortgage insurance portfolio and the housing and mortgage markets of one of the nation's largest private mortgage insurers.
“Cliff is a sought after expert in the mortgage industry,” said Radian CEO S.A. Ibrahim in a press release.
Rossi, who will continue serving Smith as Executive-in-Residence and Professor of the Practice, has held senior executive roles in risk management at several large financial services companies. He recently authored The Risk Professional’s Survival Guide: Applied Best Practices in Risk Management.
