Netcentricity Conference

The Smith School’s 6th Annual Netcentricity Conference brought together business leaders and scholars from around the region to learn about the future of the digital enterprise. Speakers included Eric K. Clemons, professor of operations and information management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; Jayashankar M. Swaminathan, Benjamin Cone Research Professor and Area Chair of Operations, Technology and Innovation Management, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School; Ritu Agarwal, Robert H. Smith Dean’s Chair of Information Systems and director of the Center for Health and Information Systems at the Smith School; and Peter Cramton, professor of economics at the University of Maryland, chairman of Market Design Inc. and Spectrum Exchange, and president of Criterion Auctions.

Supply Chain "Webinar"

Sandy Boyson, research professor and co-director of Smith's Supply Chain Management Center, hosted a free webinar on supply chain management for World Trade Magazine's Supply Chain Management Online University's 2006 Webinar Series. The webinar, “Road Map to the Global Real Time Supply Chain,” was sponsored by Hewlett-Packard.

AMA Sheth Annual Conference

The Smith School is pleased to host the American Marketing Association (AMA) Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium, July 12-16, 2006. The consortium introduces up-and-coming scholars in marketing to leaders in the field and also provides an opportunity for participating doctoral students to network with each other and with faculty. One doctoral candidate is nominated from each of the leading universities in North America as well as some from other continents.
