Welcome & Welcome Back 2008

The Smith School welcomes hundreds of new faces this fall -- all ready to start an exciting new school year at the University of Maryland. About 130 new full-time MBA students were the first to arrive at Van Munching Hall in mid-August for a week-long orientation that included special speakers, team-building activities and community service.

The week of September 8 is Smith's Annual "Business Week" for undergraduates, which includes the Freshmen Convocation, a career fair, club bazaar and much more! The signature event will be held on September 10 at 6 p.m. and will feature Richard Perlmutter of Foulger-Pratt and Argo
Investment Company who will speak about the new East Campus Development in College Park and how
the business-side of real estate development brings ideas to life. [Business Week schedule]

Dean Anand gives his first video address to the Smith community.
