Senior undergraduates Siri Rao, Alexis Reyes and Gregory Rosario represent the Robert H. Smith School of Business as 2023-2024 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholars. The trio are among 20 University of Maryland students who were recognized with their faculty and K-12 -teacher mentors in a ceremony on Nov. 3. 2023.
The third annual Smith Advisory Council Day welcomed 150 alumni, employers and industry leaders to Van Munching Hall on Friday, Oct. 27. Participants came from across the country and as far as London, England. The event brings the councils together each year to evaluate the Smith School’s programs and curriculum, hear from current students and network.
The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business hosted government, civic, and business leaders at a celebration in Van Munching Hall on Nov. 1 honoring veteran-owned businesses and the impact they have in the state of Maryland and beyond.
The Smith School is calling on corporate partners and its impressive international alumni to strengthen its strategy, recruiting and placement efforts in China and India. The school just launched two new advisory boards in those markets, composed of business leaders who have volunteered to help the school, current students and graduates.
