The Smith Association of Women MBAs (SAWMBA) helps grow and celebrate the careers of women in business. SAWMBA fosters professional and personal growth opportunities where we address the pressing issues facing women and their advancement in the workplace. SAWMBA develops a support system for women at Smith, and creates friendships that last beyond the two-year MBA.

Davira Shaffena is from Indonesia and is currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Supply Chain. Before starting the MBA program, she gained three years of experience in operations, which contrasted with her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Information Systems. However, she discovered her true passion for process optimization, strategy, and building relationships through her previous roles. She is very passionate about creating a supportive environment for women in business to succeed and thrive together. Inspired by the encouragement she received from other women, she wishes to pay it forward to the women in the Smith MBA program and around her.

I love to surf and watch Korean dramas.

Tanusha Muralidhar Somayaji

Vice President of Finance

Tanusha hails from Hyderabad, India, where she completed her under-graduation in Computer Science. Prior to pursuing her MBA, she excelled as a Senior Associate Automation Engineer. With a passion for both consulting and data analytics, she aims to pivot towards a role that seamlessly integrates strategy, consulting and data analytics. Her love for consulting is matched only by her affinity for numbers, making this fusion of disciplines an ideal career path. As President of the International MBA Association, she is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity, representing all communities within the MBA program.
