Supply Chain & Operations Club

Our mission to prepare students for their careers in, or exposure to, Supply Chain and Operations by providing them with experiences to foster professional growth. Our club is focused on the intersection of supply chain and operations with corporate and business strategy to highlight the importance operations plays behind the scenes.

We seek to develop wider and deeper networks with Professionals in the DMV area, leverage internal relationships within the Smith Community, seek to understand industry trends and dynamics, and encourage self-driven improvement through Certification study groups and case competitions.

Passionate about Supply Chain Management and Improving operational efficiencies. Olawale is currently pursuing a dual degree - FTMBA/MSSCM at the Smith Business School. With 12+ years of Supply Chain Management and 3+ years experience leading the strategic procurement function at a manufacturing company. Olawale serves as a Co-President for the Supply Chain and Operations Club at the Robert H. Smith School of Business.

In his role as Co-President of the Supply Chain and Operations club, Olawale will be leveraging his professional networks to promotion of initiatives that seeks to expand the knowledge of the supply chain and operations function.

I love to travel, I plan to visit all 50 states in the United States before I am 50 years Old

Nawal Dwivedi

Nawal Dwivedi is currently pursuing a Full time dual MBA and MS Supply Chain Management degree at the Smith School and will be graduating in May 2025. With a master's and a bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Nawal brings a robust technical background to his roles. Originally from Uttarakhand (India), Nawal has amassed 7.5 years of diverse experience in Design Engineering, Construction Project Management, Procurement, and Operations through his work with the State governemnt of Uttarakhand and Tata Consulting Engineers. He plans to leverage his prior experience and the learnings from the program to pivot into a leadership role in Sourcing and Procurement in supply chain.

As VP-Operations of the International MBA Association, Nawal is dedicated to enhancing efficiencies within the club while promoting the multicultural aspect of the program. He is committed to embracing diversity in the MBA program and assisting international students in navigating the MBA life. His goal is to foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes cross-cultural understanding among the MBA community.

Fun Fact

Love cooking, travelling, sketching, and swimming. I have been on a 9 day long road trip destinations in 4 different states in India. Conducted 4 public elections in the remote areas of Himalayas.
