Managerial Economics (ME)
Analyzes individual, firm and government decision-making by combining empirical methods of economics with a more diverse set of conceptual perspectives. The Managerial Economics area of specialization operates under the Department of Logistics, Business, and Public Policy. Please note that this area of specialization requires their doctoral students to complete the graduate-level microeconomics sequence and econometrics sequence at UMD’s Department of Economics. Applicants should have completed the equivalent of three semesters of calculus, a semester of linear algebra, and a semester in differential equations.
