International Education Week Back in Person in 2022

International Education Week (IEW) was back in person in 2022 for the Smith community during the week of November 14-18. IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education “to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.” This year, the Center for Global Business (CGB) celebrated with a week of activities recognizing the global mindset, experiences, research and global footprint of the Smith community.

Join Tata leadership for an exciting opportunity to learn about Tata's Global Internship Program.

The Tata Innovation Dialogue is a night focused on building careers in consulting and social innovation. The night will begin with a fireside chat about innovation with a high-level executive from Tata. Next, the Tata Global Internship program, an immersive consulting experience, will be discussed.

The will be a cocktail reception to conclude the event.

How Tech is Contributing to Global Transportation and Logistics

Lightning Talks is a series of virtual discussions covering business resilience and how businesses can prepare for future global shocks. A series of three installments, the Talks are organized and co-sponsored by nine universities across the country including the University of Maryland and its Robert H. Smith School of Business Center for Global Business as well as George Washington University. 

Inaugural CGBP Student Pathways Cohort Program Recognizes First Awardee

The Maryland Smith Center for Global Business offered the first iteration of the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) Student Pathways Cohort program during the spring 2022 semester. The CGBP credential is a certification earned by those with a high level of expertise and professionalism in global business and international trade.

The Center for Global Business (CGB) will host a week of activities to recognize the global mindset, activities, research, and global footprint of the Smith School from November 14 through 18, 2022.
