Smith School Holds 2nd Annual Event Honoring Maryland Veteran Small Businesses
The Smith School celebrated Maryland’s veteran-owned businesses during its 2nd Annual Veterans Small Business Celebration, recognizing 15 entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions to local economies, innovation, and community impact across the state.
Join us to explore tactics, techniques and procedures to prepare & negotiate for your fair market value as a veteran pro.
The event will include a panel discussion among service-connected colleagues who have been on both sides of the interview table, followed by a live "Smurder Board" for volunteers to test their own Q&A performance for personalized risk-free feedback.

A Military Police Officer’s Route to Business Consulting

Smith School Dedicates New Veteran’s Memorial
The University of Maryland’s Smith School honored its military-connected community with the Smith Vets Memorial, recognizing 27 veterans who died in service, including three lost in the 9/11 Pentagon attack. The dedication occurred on September 11, 2023.
