We received more than 250 submissions for the third iteration of the Smith Photo Contest at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. After a month of online voting and judges’ deliberation, we are proud to share the 20 winning photographs from the talented Smith community. Winners were selected in six categories: action, architectural, campus, global, landscape, and portrait. Of the 20 winners, two were selected through online voting on Smith’s Facebook page as the People’s Choice award.

It’s that time again—time to refresh the photo gallery that hangs in Van Munching Hall, home of the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. The school’s previous photo contests in 2012 and 2014 boasted more than 700 entries. Do you have the next winning picture? Winning photos will be displayed in Van Munching Hall and featured in the spring 2017 issue of Smith Business magazine.

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, the judges of Smith’s Photo Contest had 199,000 to read through – that’s approximately a 633-page book, in case you are curious. We received 199 submissions for our second iteration of the Smith Photo Contest at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and after a month of online voting and judges’ deliberation, we are proud to share the 18 winning photographs from the talented Smith community.
