On July 23, 2015, 37 executives from EMBA Cohort 14 graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, in a ceremony attended by more than 300 family, friends, faculty and staff of the Smith School at the university’s Riggs Alumni Center. Dean Alex Triantis congratulated the cohort on their accomplishments.

On July 24, 2014, 41 executives from EMBA Cohort 13 graduated from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, in a ceremony attended by more than 300 family, friends and faculty and staff of the Smith School at the university’s Riggs Alumni Center.

Thirty-eight students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business Executive MBA Cohort 12 gathered at the University of Maryland’s Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center on July 26, 2013, for a very special occasion: graduation ceremonies. With family, friends, faculty, and staff on hand, the close-knit and supportive culture of our community was clearly on display as Vice Dean Joyce Russell acknowledged the sacrifice on the families and the milestone achievement of the graduates.

On July 28, 2012, 41 executives from EMBA Cohort 11 celebrated the end of their 19-month journey at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. More than 350 family members, friends and members of the Smith School community joined together at the university’s Samuel Riggs Alumni Center for a recognition ceremony to honor their accomplishments.

Comcast Center was full of good cheer as the Smith School celebrated the commencement of 780 undergraduates, 360 MBA/MS students, 51 EMBA students, and 9 doctoral students on May 21. William Gossman, MBA ’91, CEO of hi5 and keynote speaker at commencement, urged students in his commencement address to “practice their leadership skills on themselves.” “Don’t assume legitimacy. Don’t search for legitimacy. Create it for yourself, today,” said Gossman. “Once you have created that vision and that legitimacy, you need the courage to make it so.”

In a lively ceremony on May 22, 2009 at the Comcast Center, four PhDs, 100 executive MBAs, 300 MBA/MS, and 825 undergraduates graduated with business degrees from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Former Smith School Dean William E. Mayer ’66, MBA ’67, delivered the keynote address as thousands of friends and family members gathered to cheer on the newest Smith Terp alumni.
