Smith School Co-Hosts International GBSN Conference in Washington, D.C.
The Robert H. Smith School of Business co-hosted the 2017 Global Business School Network (GBSN) Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., November 1-3. The conference kicked off with a members’ meeting featuring 60 business school leaders from 42 different schools and 27 countries in Van Munching Hall. American University’s Kogod School of Business and George Washington University’s School of Business also hosted the conference.

Finance Professors Win Award
In spring 2017, dozens of Finance Fellows tackled a case entitled “INFINITI HR – Target or Acquirer?” for their annual Emerging CFOs Case Competition held at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. A couple of weeks ago, the authors of the case, Karen Hallows and Susan White, who both teach in the finance department, presented the same case at an international conference and were awarded the prestigious Jonathan Welch Award for the best finance, accounting or economics case.
