Join the Smith Business Academy, a brotherhood of minority males at UMD's business school, and prospective members to learn about what the Business Academy is and its mission. This session will prepare prospective members to confidently engage with recruiters at career fairs. The session will include a panel discussion with executive board members on their experience with SBA and what the program has to offer. The session will also include time to review and edit resumes.

Join SEE and Dominique Jackson for a moderated dialogue discussing her work on the hit FX series “Pose”, upcoming projects, activism and awareness, and more. There will be an audience Q&A following the discussion.

The Ace the Case Global Business Challenge is open to all MBA and business graduate students interested in testing their skills and knowledge in global business strategies in a case interview format. Engage in both synchronous and asynchronous sessions for this two-part competition throughout the week.

Meet the centers on Sept. 9 at Centergize, an event for all Maryland Smith students to learn how they can make the most out of their Maryland Smith journey. Hear about opportunities from the Center for Global Business, Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship, the Center for Social Value Creation, the Ed Snider Center for Enterprise & Markets, and the Center for Health Information & Decision Systems.

Dingman Fridays advising sessions will be held every Friday of the semester from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On the first Friday of the month, Dingman Fridays will be held in-person at the Dingman Center offices in Van Munching Hall and the rest of the events will be held virtually. These sessions are open to all UMD students, staff and alumni. Venture mentors, subject matter experts, guest advisors and Dingman staff are available to listen to your idea, offer feedback and provide actionable next steps.
