PhD Programs for Aspiring Thought Leaders

The Robert H. Smith School of Business PhD program is designed for individuals who wish to become thought leaders and business faculty at elite research institutions worldwide. Students benefit from a diverse, world-class experience, and collaborate with faculty on relevant, groundbreaking research long after graduation. Our faculty supports PhD students with extensive mentorship and collaboration, including pursuing the publication of papers in top business journals.

Smith PhD is partnering with the Big Ten Alliance business schools to increase exposure to business doctoral programs nationwide, aiming to improve representation and diversity amongst business school faculty. Join us on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. ET for a 3-part informational webinar where the path to a PhD and the impact of pursuing a career in academia will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from current doctoral students and faculty members from underrepresented groups about their academic career experiences.
