Rudy's Cafe

Rudy's Cafe is located on the first floor of Van Munching Hall. It features hot entrées, hot sandwiches, salad bar, Uno’s Pizza, chicken sandwiches, cold beverages, Starbuck’s Coffee, and fresh baked goods. The following forms of payment are accepted: Terp Bucks, Terrapin Express, major credit cards, and cash.

Normal In-semester Hours:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Summer Hours:

  • Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rudy's Cafe is named after former dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, Rudy Lamone.

Lactation Rooms

A newly renovated dedicated lactation room is available to Smith School faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The room is located to your right as you enter the women's bathroom outside of the Frank Auditorium (1522B) on the first floor of Van Munching Hall. The room does not have to be reserved ahead of time and is outfitted with a lock to ensure privacy. If you have suggestions or recommendations please contact the Office of Smith Operations through email rhsmith--operations@umd.edu or by phone 301-405-2189 or 52189 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shady Grove
A dedicated lactation room is located in Building III. Faculty, staff, and students can contact Jessica Nardi at x6324 or visit her in office III-3137, or Erin Ward at x6376 to access the facility.

Baltimore
