Smith Students Study Entrepreneurship in Africa

Twenty students from the University of Maryland traveled to South Africa over winter break, Jan. 4-17, 2016, in partnership with the University of Cape Town's SHAWCO-Centre for Entrepreneurship. This is the second year that students at the Robert H. Smith School of Business have participated in this global learning experience.

Smith Students Excel in National Diversity Case Competition

On Jan. 15-16, 2016, undergraduate students at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business competed in the 5th Annual Kelley School of Business National Diversity Case Competition and came away as champions of their competition bracket and competition finalists, ranking top 5 of 35.

Social Entrepreneurship Joins the Dingman Center

The Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is kicking off 2016 with a new strategic initiative. Historically, the center has focused primarily on traditional entrepreneurship but recently has recognized the desire among its student populations to pursue social ventures.
