Finalist, 2015 Marketing Science Long-Term Impact Award
Dave Godes' paper with Dina Mayzlin “Firm-Created Word-of-Mouth Communication: Evidence from a Field Test,” Marketing Science, Volume 28, issue 4, 2009, (July/August), pp. 721-39, is a finalist for the Long-Term Impact Award. This paper was also a finalist for the John D. C. Little Award in 2010.
Finalists, 2015 Paul Green Award - Journal of Marketing Research
Wendy Moe's paper with David Scweidel "Listening in on Social Media: A Joint Model of Sentiment and Venue Format Choice," is a finalist for the Paul Green Award for the best paper published in JMR in 2014. The MSI version of this paper was the 2014 Buzzell Award winner.
PK Kannan's paper with PhD alum Alice Li "Attributing Conversions in a Multichannel Online Marketing Environment: An Empirical Model and a Field Experiment" is also a finalist for the 2015 Paul Green Award. The MSI version was a finalist for the Buzzell Award.
2015 UMD Distinguished Dissertation Award
PhD alum Alice Li was the winner of this prestigious award from the University of Maryland that recognizes original work that makes an unusually significant contribution to the discipline. Her dissertation beat out more than 100 nominations from all other units in the university.
2015-2016 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar Mentor
Assistant Professor Bobby Zhou has been with us just over six months but he has already made a significant mark on our students. He has been named as the faculty mentor who has made the most impact on 2015-16 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar's (Yash Mehta) academic achievement.
