Rhonda K. Reger, associate professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, was appointed the 2013 associate program chair of the newly formed Behavioral Strategy interest group within the Strategic Management Society (SMS).
This is the first role of a three-year rotation for Reger that will have her serving as program chair in 2014 and interest group chair in 2015. The Behavioral Strategy interest group was formally approved by the board at the SMS 32nd annual conference in Prague, Oct. 6-9, 2012.
The SMS is the world's largest and most prestigious society in the strategic management field, with nearly 3,000 members from academia and business, hailing from more than 80 countries. Behavioral strategy is the subfield in strategic management that studies managerial and organizational cognition. The interest group was formed to champion applying human cognition, emotion and social interaction research to strategic management.
