Roland T. Rust, Distinguished University Professor and David Bruce Smith Chair in Marketing at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, was recently interviewed by the American Marketing Association (AMA) in the “Marketing Legends” video series. In 2015, the American Marketing Association named Rust an “AMA Fellow,” a distinction given to members in good standing of the AMA who have made significant contributions to the research, theory and practice of marketing, and/or to the service and activities of the AMA over a prolonged period of time. He has received numerous awards from AMA and other distinguished organizations. Rust is founder and executive director of two research centers at Smith: the Center for Excellence in Service and the Center for Complexity in Business.
