A team of undergraduates at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, placed second and took home $2,000 in the General Motors “GM&U” Marketing Challenge. The challenge: create an integrated marketing communications plan for GM’s new College Discount Program.
This week, the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland is sponsoring Graduate Business Conference 2010 from April 15 to 17 in Washington, D.C.
It is with great sadness that I inform you that Robert H. Smith passed away on Tuesday, December 29, following a stroke. My deepest sympathy to Mr. Smith’s family and all that knew him. I had the privilege of getting to know him over the past years, and I have not met a more impressive yet humble and caring man. He is not just our school’s namesake, but also a guiding force.
